outlines the conditions under which orders placed through the Platform may be
canceled by buyers or sellers. By using Akuafo Dwa, you agree to this policy.

1. General Provisions
1.1 Applicability: This Cancellation Policy applies
to all transactions facilitated through the Platform between buyers and
sellers. Akuafo Dwa acts as an intermediary and is not a direct party to these
transactions.
1.2 Transaction Responsibility: Cancellations are
primarily handled between buyers and sellers. Akuafo Dwa encourages direct
communication to resolve cancellation requests amicably but may mediate
disputes when necessary.
1.3 Policy Scope: This policy covers cancellations
initiated by either the buyer or the seller before the product is delivered.
2. Buyer Cancellations
2.1 Eligibility for Cancellation:
- Buyers
may cancel an order before the seller confirms shipment or delivery has
begun, subject to the seller’s specific cancellation terms outlined in the
product listing.
- Cancellations
may be requested for reasons such as a change in need, incorrect order
placement, or other personal circumstances.
2.2 Cancellation Process:
- Buyers
must submit a cancellation request through the Platform’s order management
system, accessible via the account dashboard, or by contacting our support

- Requests
should be made as soon as possible after placing the order, ideally within
24 hours or before the seller confirms shipment.
- Buyers
should provide the order number and reason for cancellation to expedite
processing.
2.3 Seller Response:
- The
seller will be notified of the cancellation request and given 2
business days to confirm whether the order can be canceled (e.g., if
preparation or shipping has not started).
- If the
seller approves, the cancellation will proceed, and a refund will be
issued per Section 2.4.
- If the
seller denies the request (e.g., due to advanced order processing), the
buyer will be notified, and the order will proceed unless mediation is
required.
2.4 Refunds for Buyer Cancellations:
- If the
cancellation is approved, any payments made will be refunded to the
original payment method within 7-10 business days, depending on the
payment processor.
- If the
seller has incurred costs (e.g., for perishable goods already prepared),
they may deduct a reasonable restocking or cancellation fee, as specified
in their listing, subject to Akuafo Dwa’s approval.
3. Seller Cancellations
3.1 Eligibility for Cancellation:
- Sellers
may cancel an order if they are unable to fulfill it due to unforeseen
circumstances, such as product unavailability, quality issues, or other
valid reasons.
- Sellers
must notify the buyer promptly through the Platform and provide a reason
for the cancellation.
3.2 Cancellation Process:
- Sellers
must initiate cancellations through the Platform’s order management system
and provide a clear explanation to the buyer.
- Sellers
should offer a full refund or, if agreed with the buyer, a replacement or
alternative product.
3.3 Refunds for Seller Cancellations:
- If a
seller cancels an order, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the
order amount, including any shipping fees paid.
- Refunds
will be processed to the original payment method within 7-10 business
days of cancellation confirmation.
4. Non-Cancelable Orders
Orders may not be canceled in the following cases:
- The
order has already been shipped or delivered.
- The
product is perishable, and the seller has begun preparation or delivery,
unless otherwise specified in the listing.
- The
seller’s listing explicitly states that cancellations are not permitted,
and the buyer agreed to these terms at the time of purchase.
5. Akuafo Dwa’s Role in Disputes
- If a
buyer and seller cannot agree on a cancellation request, Akuafo Dwa may
mediate at our discretion. We will review the order details and
communication and make a decision within 5 business days.
- Our
decision is final, subject to applicable laws.
6. Platform Fees
- Akuafo
Dwa’s transaction or service fees are generally non-refunded for
buyer-initiated cancellations, unless the cancellation is due to seller
error or Platform failure.
- For
seller-initiated cancellations, Platform fees will be refunded to the
buyer if applicable.
- Any
fee adjustments will be specified during the cancellation process.
7. Fraud Prevention
- Cancellation
requests found to be fraudulent or abusive may result in account
suspension or termination.
- Buyers
and sellers must provide truthful information and cooperate fully during
the cancellation process.
8. Special Considerations for Perishable Goods
- Due
to the perishable nature of many agricultural products (e.g., fresh
produce, livestock), cancellations must be requested promptly to avoid
spoilage or loss.
- Sellers
may specify stricter cancellation windows for perishable items in their
listings, provided they comply with this policy.
